Manual vs Technological
Apr 26 at 9:53 AM
I believe the O.P. is talking about using more of what we think Chiropractors do (manual) like wrenching your neck, pushing your spine with their hands leading to the 'cracking' we commonly associate with Chiropractors.
Some Chiropractors often/primarily use devices like activators, flexion-distraction tables, impulse/ArthroStim Instruments, laser acupuncture, TENS machines, Electric Muscle Stimulation (EMS) machines, red light therapy, cupping, and the like, over the hands-on 'cracking' (manual) type of treatments.
There can be many reasons, both due to the patient's needs & the Chiropractor's preferences, to use less "manual" treatment over technological ones.
My sister is a chiropractor in Minneapolis and uses devices more than manual adjustments due to her small stature.
Some people feel the more technological is less effective whereas others swear by it.
So, I would say the O.P. wants the more 'traditional' cracking (manual) treatments over a Chiropractor who goes for the more technological.
Hope that answers your questions.
