It's that time of year again folks. Weather gets better, nights are warmer and the sticky fingered scum come out to see what they can get their filthy hands on.

This is why I bought security cameras my whole lot is covered. Any snoops after midnight inside my fence will have a visit with my dog and a call to the cops with their photo.  
 
Enough is enough this happening too often and getting worst.

On Saturday morning I found a small generator that had been dragged and left in my flower bed. Too heavy to carry away I guess. No idea who it belongs to. The police have it now. Hopefully the owner will report it stolen and can get it back.

We used to have transients passing through our yard at night until a fence was put up. You couldn't even leave a chair outside because it became the local part bench if you weren't watching. One time someone left a beer can out there. Another time, someone shot up drugs right in front of my doorbell camera (back to it. Apparently they didn't know it was there). Didn't catch it live, only later after I was reviewing the footage.  
 
I'm definitely glad the fence is up now.

I have a fenced in yard and 2x I have caught people snooping in my yard.  
 
I now have 2 cameras but I'm not holding my breath it will stop them.

Cameras are a pretty good deterrant for yard intruders, as well as having a well lit yard. Keeping your gate locked helps too. It's troubling to see citizens having to lock down their houses like Fort Knox, but sadly these are the times we're living in.
