Looking to purchase a combo machine. Nothing over the top crazy, would like to have usb capability. What machine would you suggest and or what would you stay away from? I’m leaning towards the brother se700, but need feedback! What did you like or not like ect about this brand or any other? Thanks

I don't have an embroidery machine, so am no help, but noticed nobody else had replied. If you are on Facebook, there are some groups that you might get more input from. Manitoba Prairie Quilters, Young and Millennial Quilters (you don't have to be young or millennial to join, it is a more progressive and inclusive group than some other groups) are a couple that I am in.

I don't have the machine you refer to, but I do have a Brother 6-needle machine and a an older Embroidery/Sewing machine of a different make.  
 
The one you are looking at is a respectable machine, but take note that the embroidery area is only 100mm x 100mm. It will be fine for logos on shirts and sew-on patches. If you are like me, you will enjoy embroidery and soon be looking to stitch larger designs.  
 
I would suggest that you take the time to visit Sewing and Embroidery Warehouse (Winnipeg) and have a look at the range of Brother machines and talk with the staff there.
