As we are at the end of the Equal Payment Plan year I noticed that I had a $860.00 credit. I am not really happy about giving Manitoba Hydro an interest free loan. I know that they will alter the payment to reflect the credit but that is not the point.  
 
You can call Manitoba Hydro 1-888-624-9376 and request a refund. It will take them up to 4 weeks, however your money will be returned. Maybe Manitoba Hydro should estimate a little more accurately. In the Past 20 years have I actually owed them money once and they wanted it immediately.

Why are you even complaining? with EPP, you are agreeing to pay equal payments every month. Sometimes we overpay and sometimes we underpay. $860 is a good credit and you will not have to pay hydro for months

Every month it will tell you how much you have paid and how much you have been billed and will show you if you are ahead or behind from what you have paid and what you have used. You can adjust your epp accordingly anytime during the year if you don't want to overpay or end up owing at the end of the year.

Unless you agreed to accept a rebate on future billing without paying interest, you are out of luck. And, I am guessing that Manitoba Hydro i:ncluded that in their fine print.
