Is that as in alimony and there are no children involved? If so I don't know HTH you got tangled up with MEP? Sounds like your ex is not a very nice person and greedy to boot if she thought she was entitled to spousal support after she remarried. You can try and get some of your money back that she wasn't entitled to but seriously I have know a couple guys who tried and it was a costly nightmare. You definitely need to go back to court to have maintenance stopped. MEP is a shady outfit as well. They know their program has its flaws and can be more trouble then good but they can do nothing to help out. The payer is treated like dirt almost from the get go. You need to go to court to get the order for support removed. If it was just mutual agreement between the two of you, you need to get it in writing. If MEP is involved there must have been an order to pay and that needs to be revoked!!

You should probably talk to a lawyer. They'll be able to tell you what's going on.  
 
But just because she remarries doesn't automatically mean that support ends. I'm pretty sure for spousal support, there's two components to it, one of which is to compensate for what was given up during the marriage vs. being financially needy. Depending on how the support was determined, the remarriage may be a moot point.  
 
But a lawyer could tell you for sure.

Child support does not end at 18 years age or finished school. It ends when the court order has been canceled.

One of two conditions need to be met if child support is to continue past a child's 18th birthday.
