I don't live in Brandon, Manitoba but have many relatives that do; I am the great-grand daughter of W.A. Elliott who was an architect in Brandon; I joined eBrandon because I came across some profiles that feature some of the buildings my great-grand father designed such as the St. Matthew's Cathedral and The Central firehall.
My great-grandfather, W.A. Elliott, later gave up architecture to form a traveling family orchestra with his wife, my great grand mother, and his eight children.
I guess I am proud to see that my grand-father's name is kept alive by these building's being designated as heritage sites.
