Born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba, I am definitely no stranger to the prairies, mosquitoes and extremely cold weather! Seeking companionship right from the start of it all, I was forced to share the womb with my twin brother Matt. No, we don't have strange twin-like powers where if you were to kick him, I would feel it or anything, but it never hurts to try...right? My loving parents can attest to that fact that I've always liked to talk and was always in trouble at school for talking too much. So I guess my teachers didn't really appreciate my "Gift" of Gab!!! Nonetheless, I'm still gabbing...sometimes my gabbing is down to earth, but most times it's pretty much intergalactic!
My Grandfather, "Stan The Man" Menzies, had the honor of broadcasting live for The Winnipeg Blue Bombers and sportscasting for CJOB in Winnipeg, so it's definitely inspiring to know that the broadcasting gene lies just beneath the surface in my family's history. With this knowledge in hand, along with a diploma from The Academy of Broadcasting, I set out seeking Radio Broadcasting STARdom (no pun intended!) and ironically, here I am now as the evening/weekend personality for the best station on the planet...94.7 STAR FM!!! So now, I'm an official Brandonite, a permanent resident of this place they call The Wheat City.
Whether it's the Cab Clothing Request Show or an All-Request Weekend, I'm always ready to play your favorite music, gab with you and have a BLASTY along the way! When I'm away from the station, you can find me having fun in the Brandon sun , playing sports and making new friends in our community.
