Brandon, MB – The school has put together two teams just in time for a tournament next week in Winnipeg.
Coach Jeff Kasprick says they was a good of students interested in making it happen.
"My wife teaches in the school and had a group of students interested in cricket. Put some feelers out there and it went like wildfire," says Kasprick.
He’s hopeful the team could lead to a expansion of the sport locally adding, "I hope we do see more teams. On our school grounds on any given night there are students and adults using out old tennis court as a batting cage."
The tournament in Winnipeg is on June 3rd.
