Brandon, BM (CKLQ) – A great night of softball at the Simplot Millennium Park.
Some 600 people were in attendance as the La Salle Bullets got a pair of wins over the New Zealand Under 19 team in a exhibition double header.
In game one the Bullets took down to Kiwi’s 8-1.
Former Canadian national team player Brady Woods struck out 7 batters while giving up 2 hits in the win.
La Salle followed that up with a 4-0 win.
Patrick Burns pitched a gem of game for the Bullets with 19 strikeouts.
The New Zealand team stopped in Brandon for the games while heading between weekend tournaments in Winnipeg and Saskatchewan.
