Dauphin , MB (CKLQ) – The Dauphin Clippers prevailed late and then Hunter Glover scored his third goal of the game to give the Dauphin Clippers a game 1 victory over the Killarney/Wawanesa Raiders in the Westman High School Hockey League semi-finals.
Hunter Glover scored a goal in the second period, and started the comeback for the Clippers, as they were down two goals at one point in the third period.
With 47 seconds left, down 4-3, Branden Racette scored to tie the game and face into overtime.
Glover got his hat trick goal with 6:54 remaining in the overtime period.
With the win, Dauphin leads the best-of-three series 1-0 and can sweep Killarney/Wawanesa on Friday in Killarney.
In other Westman High School action, Justin Delbert scored two goals, as the Vincent Massey Vikings downed the Hamiota Huskies 6-2 in the first game of their series in Hamiota.
Game 2 goes at 7:00pm at the Sportsplex.
