The City of Winnipeg is selling compost bins for only $30 on Saturday only. That is a one-day-only price down from the usual cost of $100 per bin.
The Earth Machine compost bins are being sold at four locations around Winnipeg from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The locations include: Garden City Shopping Centre at 2305 McPhillips Street, Polo Park Shopping Centre at 1485 Portage Avenue, Toys R Us at 1560 Regent Avenue West and St. Vital Centennial Arena at 580 St. Anne's Road.
The city says composting experts will be at each site to answer any questions.
A limited number of bins will be sold and all major credit cards, debit cards and cheques will be accepted.
Rain barrels valued at $120 are also being sold for $50.
