Friends and family of a missing Manitoba woman hope a national campaign and $5,000 reward will be enough to locate Mildred Flett, who disappeared from her apartment last year.

Friends and supporters gathered at the Indian and Métis Friendship Centre in Winnipeg Saturday morning to launch their new campaign. Flett disappeared almost exactly one year ago, on June 8, 2010.

She is described as aboriginal, 5-foot-10, approximately 140 pounds, with medium wavy black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone who might have seen Flett, or who has information about her disappearance is asked to call the Winnipeg Police Service Missing Persons Unit at 986-6250.
