Office Administrator/Accountant
About the Role
Amped Electric is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Administrator / Accountant to join our growing team. This position plays a key role in managing the company?s accounting functions, coordinating jobs and client billing, and overseeing daily administrative operations.
As we continue modernizing our systems and workflows, this role will help streamline processes using QuickBooks Online and Jobber, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and strong financial oversight across all projects.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in office administration and/or accounting
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is required
- Experience with Jobber or similar job management software is preferred
- Experience with full-cycle bookkeeping, including bank reconciliations and payroll processing
- Knowledge of GST and PST remittances
- Experience preparing T4s and ROEs
- Strong understanding of job costing and profitability tracking
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated, dependable, and proactive
- Experience in the electrical, construction, trades, or service industry is considered a strong asset
- Post-secondary education in accounting, bookkeeping, or business administration is an asset
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Bookkeeping:
- Manage daily bookkeeping using QuickBooks Online
- Record transactions, reconcile bank accounts, and monitor cash flow
- Process payroll and prepare T4s and ROEs
- File GST and PST remittances
- Maintain accurate job costing records and profitability tracking
Job Coordination & Client Billing:
- Set up and manage client jobs and schedules using Jobber
- Track job progress and technician assignments
- Generate invoices and monitor outstanding payments
- Communicate with clients regarding quotes, billing, and service updates
Administrative Support:
- Manage incoming calls, emails, and client inquiries
- Maintain digital and physical filing systems, including vendor and project records
- Order office and job-site materials as required
- Assist with documentation related to safety compliance, insurance, and licensing
