Field Operations Dispatcher

THE OPPORTUNITY:
Tundra is excited to announce an opportunity for a Field Operations Dispatcher based out of the Virden, MB or Estevan, SK office.
The main responsibility of this role is to coordinate downhole field operations to ensure the safe, efficient, and cost-effective execution of oil and gas activities across Manitoba and Saskatchewan. This position is responsible for scheduling and dispatching trucks, equipment, and field personnel based on operational priorities, production requirements, and real-time field conditions. The role relies heavily on IronSight software to track, monitor, and adjust daily operations.
REPORTS TO: Work-overs Manager
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
- Receive, review, and prioritize work requests from the Operations teams.
- Assign appropriate personnel, equipment, and service providers to meet operational requirements.
- Program, schedule, and monitor all assigned workover activities.
- Maintain continuous communication with drivers, field crews, supervisors, and service providers.
- Monitor job progress utilizing IronSight software, making real-time adjustments due to weather, equipment availability, operational changes, or production demands.
- Review morning reports and liaise with field supervisors and service companies to ensure alignment on daily activities.
- Ensure all operations comply with company policies, safety standards, and applicable provincial and federal regulations, including transportation and HSE requirements.
- Stay current with regulatory agencies and ensure all work is conducted in accordance with evolving government regulations in operating areas.
- Ensure all regulatory reporting and documentation requirements are met.
- Review, verify, and approve invoices related to dispatched work.
- Support continuous improvement of dispatch and operational processes.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU NEED:
- Undergraduate Degree is considered an asset but not a requirement.
- Completions and/or Workovers oilfield experience
- Minimum 1-3 years of downhole oilfield experience.
- Workover experience is strongly preferred.
- Previous dispatch experience is considered an asset but not a requirement.
- Service rig and supporting services activity experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of workover operations and horizontal well stimulations.
- Proficiency in IronSight, or willingness and ability to quickly learn and adapt to dispatch software.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PVR, and AccuMap.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new systems and technologies.
- Ability to complete all required company training, including:
- H2S Alive
- First Aid
- TDG
- WHMIS
- Previous certification in the above is considered a strong asset.

OTHER DETAILS:
- The nature of workover operations requires availability outside standard business hours.
- Combination of office-based and remote field coordination work.
- Frequent computer-based work using Microsoft Office, IronSight, MS Project, and other third-party software.
- Operations are currently located in Southwest Manitoba and Southeast Saskatchewan.
- Travel to field locations as required but will be limited.
- Position follows a 10 days on / 4 days off rotation, with expected daily work hours ranging from 6 to 12 hours, depending on workload and operational requirements.
