These are rarely available as they have a low reproductive rate and typically only lay a 1 egg clutch.The eggs take about 6 mths to incubator if fertile so low numbers of this species available.
These are a fantastic small species of tortoise for someone who wants to appreciate a rare gem in the tortoise world.
They're entertaining and easy to care for and don't get large around 6 inches shell length.
They have a beautiful patterned shell that develops a stunning radiated pattern as they mature. They love climbing so you can have fun creating a rocky environment for them to scramble over.
