Municipal Clerk / RCMP Detachment
The Town of Virden is accepting applications for a full-time, permanent position for a Municipal Clerk at the Westman RCMP Detachment, Virden.
The successful applicant will report to the Staff Sergeant. The applicant will be required to perform all clerical duties as well as learn all aspects of the computer systems utilized by policing.
The successful applicant must possess:
- a grade twelve diploma (relevant post-secondary education is an asset);
- strong communication skills and the ability to deal with other government organizations and the public in a positive, friendly manner
- the ability to work co-operatively and independently in a small office setting, while dealing with distractions and interruptions;
- the ability to perform varied and multiple tasks within deadlines;
- knowledge of various computer software systems
- the ability to respect and promote confidentiality
The successful applicant must be able to be security cleared.
