About the Role
Keller Developments is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Drywall Mudder & Taper to join our growing team. This role is responsible for finishing drywall installations to a high standard on residential, commercial, and multi-residential construction projects. The successful candidate will take pride in producing smooth, professional finishes while maintaining productivity, quality, and safety standards on active job sites.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Drywall Mudder & Taper is required.
- Strong knowledge of drywall finishing techniques, materials, and tools.
- Ability to apply drywall compound and tape to achieve smooth, paint-ready surfaces.
- Ability to identify and correct surface imperfections.
- Experience with hand and mechanical taping tools is considered an asset.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to follow instructions and meet project deadlines.
- Physically capable of standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence is preferred.
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites is considered an asset.
Duties
- Apply drywall tape and multiple coats of joint compound to seams, corners, and fasteners.
- Sand and finish drywall surfaces to create smooth, paint-ready walls and ceilings.
- Repair imperfections, cracks, and damaged drywall surfaces as required.
- Apply texture finishes when specified by project requirements.
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and materials in good working condition.
- Work collaboratively with drywall installers, carpenters, painters, and other trades.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
