Strudel came to us extremely fearful and is easily stressed, especially in a home with lots of noise, activity, or commotion. We were told he bites, but he has never bitten us.
Strudel has a brave moments where he may cautiously take a treat from your hand, but almost immediately he retreats back into hiding. He is going to need someone who understands that trust takes time and who is willing to accept him as is.
We believe Strudel would benefit greatly from the companionship of another friendly guinea pig and a calm, quiet environment where he can feel safe.
He isn?t going to be the guinea pig who immediately runs up to greet you. He needs someone willing to see the little victories ? the first treat taken from your hand or the first time he stays of hiding out a little longer.
