Job Description/Summary
J&D Smokin? Interiors is seeking a Skilled taper/Drywaller to join our team. You will be responsible for applying tape and joint compounds to drywall seams, corners and fastener heads to create a smooth seamless finish ready for paint.
Key Responsibilities:
Applicant may be required to hang drywall.
Apply multiple coats of compound and feather edges smoothly.
Install corner beads, trim and reinforce joints with tape.
Ensure all surfaces are clean and free of imperfections before finishing
Mix compounds to proper consistency
Finishing sanding and ensuring work area is clean and free of debris.
Work efficiently while adhering to all safety procedures ad site requirements.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Reliable Vehicle and Current drivers license
Proficient in using hand tools ( knives, trowels)
Physical ability to lift 50lbs
Work on ladders/ scaffold at heights exceeding 5ft
Repetitive arm movements
Work on your feet for 8 hours
Knowledge of drywall and finishing work an asset.
