Game day thread: Prince Albert @ Brandon, 7:30 PM
12/13/2008 at 3:02 PM
Prince Albert Raiders: T-10th in Eastern Conference, 14-21-1-0
Top Scorers: Justin Bernhardt (17+26=43), Ryan McDonald (15+15=30), Dustin Cameron (15+10=25), Matt Roberson (10+14=24)
Top Defenceman: Ryan Button (2+16=18)
Probable starting goalie: Going to guess Steven Stanford (6-14-1-0,0.907,3.17), but really could go either way between he and Garret Zemlak (who started last night).
Manitobans: Bryce Lamb, Killarney
Brandon Wheat Kings, 7th in Eastern Conference, 18-13-1-1
Top (dressed) Scorers: Scott Glennie (19+21=40), Jay Fehr (11+21=32), Jay Fehr (10+19=29), Andrew Clark (14+15=29), Matt Lowry (5+20=25)
Top Defenceman: Colby Robak (6+9=15)
Probable Starting Goalie: Going to guess Priestner (5-5-0-1, 0.878, 3.18), with the slumping opponent and Hayes having started last night... but at the same time wouldn't call it a huge surprise if Hayes gets another shot after a good start last night.
Interestingly enough, this is the first time the Wheat Kings and the division rivals Raiders will play each other.. a full three months into the season.
The Raiders are the coldest team in the WHL, having won just one of their last ten games.
The Wheat Kings will again be without Matt Calvert, Brayden Schenn and Keith Aulie.. who will be at World Junior camp. In their absense, Scott Glennie stepped up with a pair of goals last night in the win in Regina.
Bring your un-used teddy bears to the game tonight... on the first Wheat King goal, they all go onto the ice!
I'll post line combos and scratches approx a half hour before game time.
