The Lethbridge Hurricanes make their first visit to Brandon since game 5 of last year's hard-fought playoff series.
The Canes, like the Wheat Kings, got off to a bit of a slow start but have since gotten it together. They come into tonight having won eight of their last ten games.
Brandon will have Brayden Schenn back in the lineup. Matt Calvert will likely have the night off in hopes that his back will be all rested up after the holiday.
Each team will be missing a key player as a result of the World Junior Hockey championships (Aulie from Brandon, Zach Boychuk from Lethbridge).
Tonight is raincheck night. Common wisdom would say that a strong opponent and raincheck night would = a good-sized crowd.... here's to hoping a ton of people brave the cold to see what should be a good game.
I'll post lineups approx a half hour before game time.
