WHL-Russia game tonight (Wednesday)
11/25/2009 at 4:32 PM
Who else is planning on catching part of this game tonight to see how the Wheat King content (Schenn, Glennie, Robak) does?
A little disappointing to see that Sportsnet West will only be broadcasting it on a tape delay (midnight) but Sportsnet Pacific looks like they'll be carring it live at 9 Manitoba time. Not sure if they'd black it out???
The Russians apparently have 13 players from their Bronze medal world junior team, but haven't fared too well so far... losing all four games by a combined score of 21-8.
Will be interesting to see what kind of crowd they draw in Victoria. Are they testing the market for a WHL return, or simply maintaining a presense for the players that come through the various Van Isle minor hockey systems?
And all of that aside, what do you think of the CHL-Russia format in general?
