The Wheat Kings play their final home game of 2009 tonight when they close out a home-and-home series with the Moose Jaw Warriors.
After playing a fairly even first period, the Wheat Kings exploded for three second period goals last night en route to a 4-1 win in Moose Jaw. Brandon held the Warriors to just eight shots over the final two periods of that game.
Tonight will be Shayne Wiebe's home debut. Playing on a line with Matt Calvert and Mark Stone last night, Wiebe had a goal and was a +2.
Tonight will also be Toni Rajala's last game prior to joining Finland's World Junior team.
I'll have scratches and lineups approx a half hour before game time along with post-game pics.
