The Wheat Kings and Raiders play the second game of a home-and-home series tonight... two days after a heated 4-1 Prince Albert win on Wednesday.
The Raiders will be without goaltender Garrett Zemlak tonight. Zemlak was injured in Wednesday's game and is said to be sitting the weekend out. That means that trade deadline acquisition Jamie Tucker will get the start for the Raiders.
Brandon will be without Shayne Wiebe, who was suspended last night by the WHL for three games "for charging major and game misconduct at Prince Albert on January 20"
We're getting to that time of the year where fans begin to watch the out of town scoreboard a little more closely. One game likely to be watched is the Ice-Blades matchup in Saskatoon. Kootenay is of course red hot and nipping at the Wheat Kings' heels in the Eastern Conference standings. The Blades have been playing some quality hockey of their own and have opened up a six point gap between themselves and the Wheat Kings.
I'll have scratches and lineups approx 1/2 hour before game time.
