Should MLB have reversed the call?
6/3/2010 at 5:52 PM
This has been all over the news today. Detroit pitcher Armando Galarraga was one out away from the 22nd perfect game in Major League Baseball history last night. He gets a ground ball for what would be the final out to clinch the perfect game, but the umpire blows the call on the play at first base. Replay shows the runner should've been out and the umpire himself has admitted blowing it.
News has just come out that MLB commish Bud Selig will not reverse the call, but may look at future use of instant replay to avoid this kind of situation in the past...
Thoughts?
