Blues not fans of Tootoo train
Predators forward Jordin Tootoo is doing whatever it takes to stay in the NHL, and if that means being the league's biggest agitator, it's a job he's willing to take.
In Tuesday's game against St. Louis, Tootoo delivered a series of bone-crunching hits - two of which were illegal - to help spark his team to a 3-2 shootout win, writes the Tennessean.
"It just goes to show that I do what it takes to help the team win," Tootoo said. "I'll take a punch to the face to win. I'll bust my butt to create a spark."
St. Louis viewed his antics differently, saying Tootoo was playing recklessly.
"We have a donkey (Tootoo) out there running around, just trying to kill our guys, not even playing hockey," said Blues goalie Manny Legace.
Countered Tootoo: "You've got to be a man to play this game. You've got to be able to give hits and receive them. I don't like to be on the other end, but most of the guys I hit are three or four inches taller and 10 or 15 pounds heavier
