Closest NHL Hockey Game to See Boston

I really don't know anything about the different NHL teams eg. their divisions. The new guy I am seeing is a die hard Boston Bruins fan and I was thinking that it may be a great present to get him tickets to see a game. I have seen tickets for sale against Toronto and Ottawa but was wondering if there was a NHL team that they would play that may be closer.
I do want this to be a surprise so I didn't want to sound like a dummy and ask him.
