Mike Jones - Brandon Sun

Sad news today as Brandon Sun Sports Editor Mike Jones passed away.
No details on what happened at this time.
But personally I have known Mike for 14 plus years and he has always had a smile on his face when you saw him. He shared a same view on Brandon and the local sports scene as I did and that was a common bond that we had.
For the local golfing community they have lost a good friend and a really good media connection. Mike always went out of his way to make sure all local sports got the coverage it deserved.
Well Mike I know you have better friends than myself but felt that people need to know about this and I am sure you would prefer people to go for a beer tonight rather than be sad about your passing.
I am not good at writing these things but I wish all the best for his family members and close friends at the Sun like the Shoe and Larkins and Hendu.
