A 3 v 2 victory for white. More importantly, Schenn and Calvert were comfortably the best players on the ice. Schenn scored a highlight reel goal on a rush that started with speed in his own zone going by King then powering down the middle and splitting the d making my Melnychuk and I think Smith look like pylons and a nice finish. Thank the Lord Schenn reported, he was hitting out there, him and King took a couple runs at each other. Great start for Schenn. Grill-Donovan and Rock looked like strong contendors for a d man spot, big and physical. Regier scored a nice goal for gold. Mark Stone has really grown and looked useful out there, I'm really excited for the Wheaties in 2 or 3 years time as this crop of rookies look good. Melnychuk looked like the blocked shot from the earlier scrimmage was still bothering him. Hale was not there again, and Glennie was also a scratch. Most of the returning Wheaties were in attendance. I don't think Matty Smith looks good enough, he tries maybe too hard? Same goes for Kyle Ireland, another 89 born.
