WK's 4 v 1 Warriors
11/17/2007 at 10:28 PM
Well, a tired home team, 4 games in 5 nights and it showed for the first 2 periods. Them MJ took the lead in the first minute of the third and I feared the worst. But without Yeo (knee injury tonight) and 25% of their goal scoring (Clark and Glennie) the WK's showed incredible resilience, grit and determination and pulled out a 4 v 1 win, and a 32 to 24 shot margin. I thought Green played one of his best games. Bartek, Lowry and Dittmer haven't gelled quite yet. Thought King played with more confidence. Grill Donovan didn't get a shift in the third, went with 4 d-men. At the end MJ got chippy, but Schenn, Cowan and Brandis all answered the bell and fought, pretty much ties for all bouts.
This game showed me that the WK's never quit this year, gutted out a win where last years team would have folded and gone quietly into the night.
Yeo's injury looked bad, is it a reoccurance of his pre season knee injury?
