Wheat Kings / Rockets

Definitely a winnable game tonight but Kelowna made the most of the chances they were given.
The Rockets seem to be pretty tough to play against though.. they certainly make you earn your goals. It didn't help that the way the game was officiated catered to a style of play that works for a team playing its fourth game in six nights.
Westblom looks to be real steady for them, as you'd expect from a 20 year old goalie in this league.
Remember the name Tyson Barrie. For a 16 year old D, this kid makes some real nice passes.
Schenn/Glennie/Calvert made things happen out there with their hard work. They're a good example of how hard you have to push against some of the defensively sound West teams. Dittmer/Clark/Lowry got the goal and were good in spirts but I thought struggled at times with the reduced space available in Kelowna's zone. For both, some of the plays that work against the Saskatoons and Prince Alberts of the world didn't apply here. Good to see the Green line have some success without Bartek.
Looking forward to the game on Friday. I wouldn't want to be the Blades. With the character of this year's team, I'd be surprised if they didn't play pretty inspired on Friday after losing a game that I'm sure they feel they deserved a better fate in.
