Not a bad showing to get the guys back on the winning track. Swift was lucky to have a chance to get back into the game in the third.. if we'd buried our chances, the game would have been over after two periods.
Wow Nathan Green. This is a different player since the holiday break. Not only on the goal, but seems to be playing with so much more confidence. I thought he played well enough to deserve a star, but unfortunately there are only so many of them to go around.
Schenn, Glennie, Calvert had another good game. Glennie was a bit snakebitten in the first after a couple of beauty feeds from Schenn.
Great to see Jay Fehr back and playing as well as ever. The fear (aside from the injury being longer term) was that he'd come back with a bit of hesitation to his game. Definitely not the case.
McCue was pretty good in his debut. Brings a bit more of a physical presense to the defense and might even be able to create a few chances if he can consistently put his shot on net. Seemed a bit jittery with the puck but as long as he stays within his means he could definitely be an effective player.
Dittmer and Bartek also had good hard-working games. Would've been nice to see them rewarded with a goal.. but it wasn't for lack of generating chances.
Nice to see the fourth line and King come up with a big goal. Should help to bring more confidence to his game.
Swift won't get very far in the playoffs giving up weak goals particularly like the ones in the third. Might explain why they made the move at the deadline to upgrade their backup spot.
Seeing Regina knock off Vancouver so convincingly should motivate the guys to come out with all guns-a-blazing against the Giants tomorrow.
