Brad Richards and his big contract are off to Dallas for Mike Smith, Jussi Jokinen and Jeff Halpern. Dallas also gets Johan Holmqvist.
Tampa then continued to unload, trading Vaclav Prospal to Philadelphia
A couple other bigger ones:
To San Jose: Brian Campbell
To Buffalo: Steve Bernier and a 1st round pick
To Washington: Christobal Huet
To Montreal: 2nd round pick
- something else must be in the works here. Huet + Kolzig in goal sounds like slight overkill for Washington
- Interesting move by the Habs. WHL followers know the kind of goalie Carey Price is, but this will put a lot of pressure on a young kid.
Also of note, Brandon's Bryce Salvador was traded to New Jersey from St. Louis for Cam Janssen.
Marian Hossa is still out there and a good bet to be moved.
