It's been quite the rollercoaster ride for them, from the good performance winning the Canadian championship to the mid-week rock controversy when playing the US to the last couple of games. They seemed to really struggle after the US game, having problems reading the ice and draws (too dependent on stop watch and rock times than "feeling" the ice?), but looks like they had it together and things figured out against Scotland. Would be nice for a Canadian (MB skip) to win the World's in Canada, but top four teams are all good.

Canada might medal but I don't think it will be gold; they have not been consistent enough throughout the week. If they continue to play in the playoffs as they did last night against Scotland, they may have a chance but the top two teams are going to be very tough to beat.

off by inch here and there and left Russia with easy shots. Here is hoping for bronze tomorrow.  
 
Curling - a slippery game

I know many/most curlers feel the bronze medal game is unimportant and should just go to the third place team after the final is played however I understand that for Canada, a medal at Worlds ensures a berth in the Olympic Curling Trials next year so there is something riding on this game for Carey and team. No medal and they will have to continue to try to earn that coveted berth to the Trials. I hope they curl well today and win that bronze.

Nosurrender, I heard that remark too and didn't know what to make of it. Didn't know if she was talking about the ice, rock or another player.  
In any case, they did not represent themselves or our country very well (in my opinion) and I mean their attitude.  
They could take lessons from Japan and Switzerland who smiled through everything and seemed to genuinely be happy to be there  
The final game was amazing and kudos to the Japanese skip who performed so well even though she was sick. A well-deserved win for both.

I nicknamed Carey "pouty pants". She definitely needs an attitude adjustment if going to be on national television. I have seen her play and lose against Jennifer Jones in the Provincial Scotties and that time she walked off the ice during the final speeches. And, her father was the coach at that time!! Definitely not a good showing for Canada and I'm glad she didn't win. The teams that played for the gold deserved it far more.

I’d also like to thank all of our amazing fans who stuck with us through thick and thin through this memorable season. It was an honour to wear the Maple Leaf, and we can’t wait to do it again next February in St. Catharines."

That was very interesting to read the thread on this. Lots of people not happy with Amy's attitude.

Only time I've found myself cheering against a Canadian rink. Very pouty, poor attitude, overall poor representatives for Canada. Let's hope the path to the Olympics is over for this crew.
