Wheat Kings game postponed

In lieu of all of the fog in the arena at the Wheat Kings' home opener, not something you see every day.... the rest of tonight's game has been postponed and will be played at a later date. Full statement from the Wheat Kings is as follows:

"Due to the safety of the players the WHL has postponed the conclusion of tonight's game. The balance of this game will be played at a date to be determined. All tickets for tonight's game will be honoured for that game. More details to follow."

In the mean time, added a few pics that I managed to take from the pre-game to this thread....

Heard the next time the Wheat Kings play the Warriors is in November, so I wonder if they will play the rest of the game at that time.

Sucks that the game had to be postponed, but from a photography perspective some great stuff coming out. Wish I was taking pics after the pre-game....

seemed to follow the players. When they stayed in one end for extended periods of time, the opposite end cleared. The fog seemed to form when they were actually playing, when there was no activity on the ice it cleared.

During the delays we were wondering why they didn't open the concourse doors. As soon as they opened as crowds left the fog was gone.

So they say these tickets will be honoured for tonight's game to that one, but what happens with season ticket holders technically we'd have two tickets for that game then. Do we get reimbursed for one? I don't get why they don't just play tomorrow night. Moose Jaw isn't scheduled. Just make the game happen tomorrow.

is likely still working on the details with the teams. We will probably hear on Monday the details for the resumption of the game.

I don't think it would be logistically possible to just have the game tomorrow. The Warriors were likely heading back to Moose Jaw after the game and had no provisions for hotel rooms in Brandon. Plus getting the staff for the game on short notice.

so what happens to the to the guy who comes to random games and can only make it to Saturday or Sunday games?
Can i get reimbursed for half my ticket as i cant come to games m-f

A writeup on the Crowe's Nest that goes into some of the post-mortem that's taking place after this game.... at this point its being attributed to the 100% humidity that was outside and the heat from everyone being in the building. Solutions to keep it from happening again are being considered:
