The Wheat Kings just announced the date that the game will be completed, Feb. 8 at 6pm. More details can be found on their website.

For season ticket holders we will technically have two tickets for this game. One from September 24th, and one for the February 8th game. If they are planning to give everyone at that game a free ticket to combine with the suspended game + the actual game, season ticket holders will all have two tickets. That will + the other fans that purchased tickets will fill the arena and leave not much room from my guess. Also this doesn't solve the issue that the season ticket holders won't get reimbursed for their ticket, because we technically don't need this second ticket since we can already get into the game. Sure this works for people who aren't season ticket holders to get in for free, but for season ticket holders it's not that logical. So I'm just curious how this will work?

Could season ticket holders not cash in their home opener ticket for another ticket and then technically have two tickets to the game?

There's other perks to being a season ticket holder, It's pretty tough to work things out in this situation. I'm fine with my normal season tickets, hopefully there's a big crowd! Go wheaties!

I asked on their Facebook page and got a response.  
'Brandon Wheat Kings Hockey Club (WHL) Your Feb 8 tickets are already valid for both games AND your home opener tickets are good to be redeemed at the box office for additional seats!'

That still causes the problem everyone that's a season ticket holder will have double tickets that we don't need.

You can consider the Home Opener ticket as used and not needed. So you don't have double tickets. You can toss the Home Opener ticket out.  
 
And this ONLY applies for Season Ticket holders.
