Finding a Dr. in Brandon

I find it very sad that there are no Dr.’s here that will except you as a patient & all I hear is our clinic is full. Did we not receive new Dr.’s not that long ago? Does anyone know of any openings here that is excepting new patients?

I, too, am looking for a physician. My previous physician (who I had for over 10 years) cut back his practice and left me in the lurch.

I keep watching the Western Clinic site to see if any of their physicians are taking new patients and so far? Nobody is available for taking on new patients.

If anyone knows who is accepting new patients, I'm all ears!

Google Family Doctor Finder. You can register to get on all clinic lists at once and they will set you up with who is available. It’s unfortunate it’s so difficult to find a physician. Good luck!

Family Doctor Finder is a joke. We were looking to get our oldest son a doctor and he was on that list for a couple years and heard nothing. Best to try the clinics and ask around if anyone is accepting new patients. But honestly I wouldn't use the Doctor Finder program its a waste of time.

Try Wheat City Medical in the Corral Centre: there was at least one doctor (a female, I believe) there accepting new patients about 3-4 weeks ago.

My husband & I both have Dr.’s there and no they are not excepting anyone....it is my son needing a family Dr. and you would think that they would of excepted him but they said no....how stupid is that.

Ms.Daisy is correct. Doctor Finder is a waste of time. I am still waiting 3 years later to hear back from Doctor Finder. In the meantime I found a doctor on my own out of town.

Guess it's the one time it pays to be sick...I have medical conditions that need regular check ins with a physician and when I used the doctor finder, I was matched up with my current doctor in just a few weeks.

Only other option is to keep phoning around and ask if there is a doctor accepting patients, and if not, get yourself on some kind of waiting list.

I don’t know why so many people have issues finding a family doctor. I have a family doctor at wheat city (mine moved and he was automatically mine) and one at the western medical also. I wasn’t a huge fan of my new one at wheat city so if I can go elsewhere, I do. For simple things, I see Dr. Bending.

I have called the clinics and they all say they are not taking new patients....so what is your suggestions....it sounds like you have a family Dr. At every clinic in town which is so wrong seeing that there seems to be a shortage of Dr.s in Brandon once again!

And always told sure, fill out this form and you’ll have a doctor.
