I have family coming from ontario and one of my family members needs wound care twice a week while they are visiting. Does anyone have a suggestion or advice on who i should call about getting them in somewhere i dont know how manitoba health care works if its not someone in this province, or is there a health care place that we can pay for his care out of pocket ?

Is a very good question maybe try calling the clinics and see what they say, I’m sure if they won’t do it they should be able to at least send you in the right direction.

You will most likely just have to take the person to one of the walk-in clinics.  
They will just need their Ontario Healthcare Card.

I think there is a wound care clinic at Brandon General Hospital. No idea how to get an appointment, but would be worth a phone call.

I think the question to investigate may rather be does their Ontario health care cover this or their person health insurance vs what does Manitoba health do?  
 
In Manitoba dressings are typically changed by Home Care or Outpatient Care Unit at the hospital but both would need a referral/be pre -arranged I would think from Ontario Health with specifics of what needed to be done. Also guessing they are quite busy so this may not even be possible with the pandemic as can be a wait for both programs.  
 
Alternative options are how complicated is it? Could you assist them with the wound care? Could written directions be sent for you from their health care system now with supplies?  
 
You could probably private hire a nursing company if they were well versed with wound care and you probably would need to purchase or bring the supplies.

They are a private fee for service agency but will send a qualified individual into your home to do wound care. Call 204-725-6629
