Apple has launched iOS 12. Have you updated your device? What are your thoughts?

My phone did an update last night ended up losing all my texts calls contacts pretty much everything except my apps then had to log into everything again, not sure if I did something wrong or if it is that update or what happened but was somewhat annoyed but not the end of the world either. Phone seems to run a bit slower now though but it’s not a new one either...think it’s an 8 I have?

Don’t forget to back up your device(s) before you update. Use your iCloud...first 5G is free.

Updated everything. (iPads and iPhones (6S, 8+ & X) as soon as the update was available. Went smoothly.

Everything seems to run faster!

Also updated TVOS, and WatchOS. Sure like the Walkie-Talkie on the watch.

Good update. Zero issues so far. No battery drain, no slowdowns...faster.

IDK. Depends on your phone. iOS 12 is available for iPhone 5S and newer, iPads and iPod touch. Go to Apple to see what can get updated.

Go to SETTINGS, General, then SOFTWARE UPDATE.
Or, go to ABOUT, to view what phone you have, and what version of iOS you are using.

I have yet to update to iOS 12, but my understanding is that performance improvement on older devices was one of the key highlights to this rollout.

If you google “lost texts after iOS 12 update” you’ll get something to try to get your texts back.

Thought I lost a lot of stuff but it all went to page three! Just swipe left and it may all be there!

Thought lost apps but page two only had two apps rest were on the next pages, update made my device run faster
