CTV app no longer has Chromecast option

Seems to still have option for me. Didnt actually try but had the streaming button and wanted to connect.

was recently changed to have access to classic TV and movies ad the Cast button was removed. That was last week. Maybe you have to start a video first before the cast icon shows up now? I did end up removing it, but I can try again.

I couldn't cast show once show started. But from the first page of CTV app I hit cast and then show cast no problem and a throwback movie

Apps and I still can’t cast from the app. It’s a bit frustrating but we have been sitting huddled around the iPad to watch movies.

I’m not sure why they did that but hope the casting capability is restored.

You can still cast to your TV from the iPad. Go to ctv.com but use Google chrome to do so. Click cast from the drop down on the right hand top of the screen. It will mirror your iPad to the TV.

Bell owns CTV so they likely want people to buy cable tv packages instead of using a friend’s account to stream CTV to your tv, or something like that.

That makes sense that Apple themselves are the link to the problem. It’s a shame though as the app and Chromecast both say casting is an option. But now it isn’t.

We have other options for TV but the Chromecast is a option we utilize when we can.
