Canon T3I camera damage

I recently had an accident involving my good (and expensive) dslr camera and water. The camera will not turn on anymore due to the possible water damage.
Is there anyone in the area that does camera repair?

Computech in Winnipeg does camera repair. I've had a few of my film cameras repaired there and they do digital, too. Might be worth giving them a call or check their website: http://www.camerarepair.ca

If it was fully submerged in water though, it might be unrepairable.

There is hope. I submerged a not so expensive digital camera in a pool in Mexico a few years ago. I took the battery and memory card out right away and let it dry out. When I got home I put it in a bowl of rice for a couple of weeks. When I put it back together it worked just fine and I still use it today.

I’m not sure if it’s fixable but try removing moisture with a vacuum cleaner hose and leave it for awhile.

Spraying parts and circuit boards with non-oil contact cleaner (pure isopropyl alcohol) might help.
