Just wondering what everyone is using in regards to downloaded music on your iPhone. I know with Apple Music there is a monthly fee and if not subscribing monthly I lose all my music. What are you all using if not Apple Music that I can download music to and play on my AirPods that I’m not needing a monthly subs:cription. Cheers

If you have some of your own music (cds, digital downloads, etc), then the music app and iTunes app work fine. No subscription needed.  
 
I use Spotify as well. It is free though there are some features such as offline downloads, no ads, etc., that can only be used on Premium ($9.99 per month). Benefit however is that you don't have to pay for songs individually.  
 
Unfortunately you aren't likely to find a way to actually download songs for free unless you pirate them. There is always a cost included somewhere.
