I received a scam email yesterday afternoon, which you might want to be aware about. The mail comes from someone pretending to be from GEEK SQUAD, and informs you your account will be debited $399 for a "renewal of services." Looking over the email carefully, I noticed there was no invoice number, no tracking number for any "merchandise" shipped, no business addresses, simply two telephone numbers, one of which is a mobile (cell) phone customer. And no funds have been debited from my bank account. I THINK this is phishing scam, and I won't be calling the telephone numbers: this is designed to throw one into a panic as it nearly did me. However for safety's sake I changed the password on my banking site and cancelled my bank's branded debit card for internet transactions. Screenshot of the email I received is posted.
