...or is this about control?  
I, like many, use part of my name or an alias. Privacy concerns! How can FB allow us to "hide ads from friends" but now demand us to confirm our identity?  
 
They started to send out notices like this where they won't confirm your ad until you prove your identity, by uploading photos of Driver's License, Passport, Marriage License, etc.  
 
My account is NOT suspicious. I have been making many dealings and have near perfect feedback.  
If it wasn't for free ads, like eBrandon...who would want to continue?  
 
Anyone else?

Looks like same messages I keep I have seen on my email account over past few months saying I need to confirmed my identity and they are all scams according to email provider.  
 
Double check I would never send any of those official documents to any company or person online or in email ever.
