Firstly I'm running vista home edition with DSL.  
 
Basicly the issue is ill "see" that I have an active internet conection (the globes and the moniture icon) BUT none of my browsers will conect to it after awhile.  
 
I mostly use firefox, but also safari (when firefox decides to go into "offline mode" for no reason) and at times IE.  
 
Before it would happen in firefox, but the problem could be solved by switching to IE or safari. But latly after maybe a half hour, none will be able to load a page.  
 
I recently installed avrast anti-virus, do u think that could be the problem?  
 
Also, if anyone knows of a GOOD anti-virus program for vista I would love to hear of one. I've experimented and haven't found a good one yet (AVG was good on XP, but seems useless on vista!).
