Ok fellow ebrandoners I need some help. I have a virus on my computer that I cannot for the life of me get off. I know there is one because I keep getting pop ups saying my computer is infected, use this scanner now, and whenever I try to click on anything (including removal programs) it keeps saying I can't use it because it is infected. I had the exact same problem 2 days ago and this is what I did.  
 
Went to safe mode  
In startup menu under msconfig, I deselected everything (my brother-in-law figured out that the virus inserted itself to execute on startup)  
Tried AVG but it didn't find anything  
Used malware bytes to remove it  
Went back to regular mode and all good  
 
Now, I am doing the same thing but Malware Bytes is unable to find it! Last time it came up as a trogan. I was able to update both AVG and Malware before this virus hit again.  
 
Any ideas? As of right now my desktop is staying off, and is physically unplugged from the internet until I can get this figured out
