Strange uses for the Microwave

The microwave was introduced on this day in 1955.
Most of the stuff people use a microwave for — melting chocolate, reheating coffee, steaming vegetables & such aren't that exciting. So I get all in a twitter when I hear about OTHER ways you can use the "ultimate convenience item"
For example - you can use it to kill the bacteria in a sponge, to clean off dried up candle wax, salvage dried up mascara... what are some other un-conventional uses for the microwave?
