Need smart techie person to give my sanity back.  
Got new ipod touch and can't get it to set up. I downloaded itunes (already had it so was just upgrading to newest version) and have it hooked up with the USB port but the picture on the ipod just constantly shows a picture of the cable with an arrow to the itunes word and symbol. I can't see any apps, pictures or anything on the ipod. And in itunes it does not show my ipod under devices.  
 
I have tried going in and out of itunes, shutting computer completely down. My computer is only about a year old and new Windows whatever on it.  
 
I can use my other ipod on it and it is recognized and i have tried two different white ipod cords.  
 
When I first connected my ipod to computer it popped up as a camera icon and so my computer knew something was there but when I run a diagnostics test in itunes it shows that it does not recognize an Ipod....  
 
i am so frustrated having spent way too much time today trying to get my kids Christmas present to work...  
 
If anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate it. Please!!!!
