I was wondering if any of you web developers (Adam?) have seen the new developer tools coming out from Adobe. They have a new project they are working on called Apollo.
http://labs.adobe.com/wiki/index.php/Apollo:developerfaq (faq's etc)
I thought this was an interesting project because it uses many technologies (i.e. AJAX) that Web 2.0 is using today. But now it will allow developers to make applications that run on users computers instead of having to connect to the internet. These applications could be deployed on a cd or through a download on the web. It's like creating a standard like PDF which allows users to download the information to their computer and then use it when they are not connected to the net.
I know I was excited when I saw this. I think it's a great idea and may allow me to create educational web projects and projects for cd without having to do the coding twice.
