Bit torrent on Westman

Just wondering if anyone else is having the same sort of problem as I am. I'm using Westman's Ultranet internet. I installed Azureus tonight and started downloading a file. About every 20 minutes I'll loose internet access, and have to unplug the power to my cable modem in order to reset it.
Is this Westman's way of blocking BT users? Anyone else experiencing issues like this?? It's my first time using BT with Westman - I didn't have any problems with MTS when I was with them.
